Seller FAQ

Got a garage full of gear your kids have outgrown? Let's turn it into someone else's next adventure—and put a little money back in your pocket. Here are the most common questions families ask when posting items for sale:

What can I sell on Little Rippers?

Quality new and used sports gear, apparel, footwear, and accessories for kids and active families.

From skis and bikes to lacrosse sticks, riding boots, cleats, and hockey gear—if it helps kids get out there and rip, there's probably a place for it here.

How do I create a listing?

It's easy. Choose the sport and gear category, upload a few clear photos, add the requested details, describe the condition, set your price, and publish. Be sure to write an accurate description and include photos of any wear so there are no surprises when the buyer receives the item.

The more accurate your listing, the easier it is for buyers to find exactly what they need.

What are the fees to sell gear on Little Rippers?

We keep the fees as low as possible for you. While most local consignment shops take up to 40%, our fee is less than half of that. For a limited time, while we establish our marketplace, ALL sellers will only pay a 8% commission!

How should I price my gear?

Consider the original retail price, age, condition, and what similar used gear is selling for.

A great price gets gear out of your garage faster—and into the hands of another little ripper.

What condition can my gear be in?

Be honest and specific. Normal signs of use are completely fine, but buyers should know about scratches, stains, wear, repairs, missing pieces, or damage before purchasing.

When in doubt: photograph it and mention it.

Can I sell used helmets or safety equipment?

Some safety equipment requires extra care when buying or selling used. Never list equipment that has been involved in a significant impact, is damaged, recalled, expired, or no longer meets applicable safety requirements.

Always accurately disclose the item's age, history, condition, and certification information when known.

How do buyers pay?

Buyers pay through Little Rippers' marketplace checkout. Keeping payment and communication on the platform helps make transactions simpler and more secure.

How do I get paid?

After a successful transaction, your payment is processed through the marketplace according to Little Rippers' current payout process.

Do I have to ship my gear?

Yes! You will pack and ship your own gear once it sells. This requires shipping the item in a way so it won't be damaged in transit. We are happy to help answer any packing or shipping questions you may have. Shipping, especially for large items, can be more expensive than expected. Ensure the shipping cost you enter with your listing will cover the expense you incur to pack and ship the item.

What if a buyer has a question?

Buyers can contact you through Little Rippers. Quick, helpful answers can make the difference between someone browsing your gear and buying it.

Keep communication on the platform whenever possible.

What makes a great listing?

Clear photos. An honest description. A fair price. Accurate sizing.

Include photos from multiple angles and show any wear or damage up close. For technical gear, include important details such as model, size, length, wheel size, or other specifications.

What shouldn't I sell?

Don't list recalled, counterfeit, stolen, dangerously damaged, or unsafe equipment. Certain safety-critical products may also be restricted.

If you wouldn't feel comfortable letting your own kid use it, don't pass it on to someone else's.

What if someone wants to return the item?

A buyer has up to 72 hours after delivery of an item to confirm or contest the item was delivered in the condition promised. After that time, there are no refunds or returns.
